Abstract

Background: Traction, as one of the earliest physical treatment methods, was utilized in the therapeutic approach to address disc herniation in both the cervical and lumbar spine. The work aimed to evaluate the impact of Spine MED® traction on symptoms and Magnetic imaging resonance (MRI) outcomes of cervical disc herniation in patients with cervical pain. Methods: This prospective cohort randomised study was performed on 100 individuals with cervical pain lasting for at least 6 months and have cervical disc herniation diagnosed by MRI. The participants were divided randomly into two equal groups: Group A, which served as the control group and received full rest as treatment, and Group B, which underwent 20 sessions of cervical Spine MED traction therapy.
