Abstract
Background: There are many risk factors for patellar dislocation or instability as well as many methods have been devised to treat the condition. However, consensus on the best surgical approach has yet to be reached, Aim & Objective: to evaluate the functional outcome of Arthroscopic medial placation in case of lateral patellar instability, Patients and methods: Twenty participants were included in the prospective study who were admitted to Al Azhar University Hospitals (El Hussein Hospital and Sayed Galal Hospital) on persons with recurrent patellar dislocation, Results: There were highly statistically significant difference amongst preoperative & Post Operative data regarding Congruence angle, Kujala score, Patellar tilt angle, IKDC Score and Lysholm Score. Only 15.0% of cases Suffer from Complications, including two cases who Suffer from PFOA progression and One case who Suffer from Re-dislocation, Conclusion: Arthroscopic Medial Plication is a successful treatment for lateral patellar instability, with enhancements reported in various result measures, including pain, function, and joint stability
