Abstract

Background: With over 90 subgroups, lymphomas are a collection of malignant neoplasms of lymphocytes. Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) are the two main conventional classifications. yearly, lymphoma is detected in people.

Aim and objectives: In order to evaluate the efficacy of conventional computed tomography (CT) in lymphoma management and post-treatment follow-up in comparison to Fluoro-Deoxy-D-Glucose Positron Emission Tomography/Computer Tomography (FDG PET-CT).

Patients and methods: Sixty patients were the subjects of this prospective study that took place at the Sayed Galal University Hospital, Masria Scan Center, Mohandsin, Cairo, Egypt, as well as the Faculty of Medicine, Al-Azhar University. From September 2022 to July 2024, our research will be underway.

Results: One promising non-invasive diagnostic tool for cancer patients is 18F-FDG-positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG-PET/CT), which has applications in early staging, therapy response evaluation and follow-up.

Conclusion: Lymphoma treatment and post-treatment follow-up can be better guided by the multimodality PET/CT approach. The diagnostic accuracy of PET-CT and CECT for various post-treatment reactions is highly demonstrated.
